Brothers and business partners Simon and Paul Browning set
up their web design business Third Arc in 2007.
Third Arc create bespoke websites, web systems and web apps
from their office in the grounds of Nostell Priory Business Park, and created the lovely website we have here at Mr&Mrs Accountant.
Today we put Simon Browning through our gruelling 3 Question Interview, and kept our fingers crossed he could make it through to the other side unscathed. Here's the result:
1 Why did you first
start in business?
Paul
our lead designer has always had a flair for design while I have always been
more technical and focus on the programming and data side of our work. We had
collaborated on a few freelance projects in the past and decided that we made a
good team. Although some of our customers have been with us for 10 years,
Third Arc was officially born in June 2007.
2 What are your
biggest business challenges?
Keeping
it simple! We have lots of ideas, for our own services as well as our
customers. When we first started out we would often try to do too much,
to over complicate things which led to solutions that didn’t work as well as
they could have. We have found that the simple solutions are often the
best and deliver the greatest results. It’s now a key principle of
everything we do from design to development. We start with an idea and
before it goes anywhere we look at how we can simplify it. You can take a look at some of our work (and how we
work) at thirdarc.com
3 What do you like
most about what you do?
We love the
freedom to look at a project and come up with ideas, to pull everything together, get creative
and make it work. We take great pride in our work, we love what we do and
we want our customers to feel the same way.
Thanks for your time Simon, we hope it wasn't too painful! If you want to get in touch with Simon or Paul you can drop them an e-mail through their contact form, or you can tweet them at their Twitter account.
